"Everyone has a soul mate"? "A negative times a negative equals a positive"? "Friendship makes everything better"? "You are your own worst enemy"? Take your pick- they all work out nicely. "You Made Me!" has spawned a ton of these.Not even the main characters themselves are immune to being called out by the narrative for being bad parents, notably Jake to his Rainicorn Pups in "Ocarina" and Princess Bubblegum to Lemongrab in both "You Made Me" and "All Your Fault".įinn: I can't keep pushing this down. Abusive boyfriends (like Ash, the Party God and Ricardio) are always portrayed like massive Hate Sinks.Even more left after the eating and "Too Old". Most Lemonzest shippers stopped shipping the Lemongrabs after "Another Five More Short Graybles" reveals that they are actually brothers.This happens In-Universe in the episode " All the Little People", where Finn ships and abandons several pairings.Finn/FP shippers jumped themselves after Finn's behavior in "Frost and Fire" and "Red Throne". After the premiere of "Incendium", various shippers (but Fubblegum in particular) left their old ships in favor of Finn/Flame Princess.Some Finnceline and Fubblegum shippers left their ships to join the ranks of the canon-in-the-past Princess Bubblegum and Marceline ship.Some Finnceline shippers did this after Marceline's ship sinking with Finn in "Go With Me.".Some Fubblegum shippers sorrowfully tied up their ships and left them at the dock after "Too Young" revealed that Princess Bubblegum won't date Finn because of the age difference, and she told the boy to "move on.".
